SPECIAL GUESTS: FEA & THE BOLZEN BEER BAND
THURSDAY, MARCH 26 @ 9PM
FREE with RSVP @ DO210.com
San Antonio, TX – Freetail Brewing Co. presents the PIÑATA PROTEST BEER RELEASE CONCERT featuring PIÑATA PROTEST and Special Guests FEA and THE BOLZEN BEER BAND at the Empire Theatre (226 S. St. Mary’s St.) on Thursday, March 26 at 9pm. The all-ages show is FREE with RSVP at DO210.com.
The celebratory show commemorates the March release of Freetail’s new brew PIÑATA PROTEST. The San Antonio brewing company collaborated with the San Antonio Punk Rock band PIÑATA PROTEST for the seasonal launch.
"We approached this collaboration with the hopes of capturing the spirit and flavor of San Antonio. Both the band and the brewery are San Antonio grown, and together we created a beer that’s truly San Antonio’s own,” said Scott Metzger, Owner, Freetail Brewing Co.
Tickets for PIÑATA PROTEST are FREE with RSVP at DO210.com. RSVP does not guarantee admission. Entrance to the Empire Theatre will be issued on a first come, first serve basis. Doors open at 8pm. (Is there DO210 specific language that we should use here for consistency to make clear?)

Come out and meet our newest experimental beer in the courtyard of The Luxury on the River in downtown.
The Bitter Rose is a beer crafted to showcase the beautiful aroma of the Citra hop. We start with our popular and refreshing hefeweizen, LuftWeiss. The base beer is 85% wheat and only 18IBU for a clean, smooth finish. For The Bitter Rose, we dry-hop with a ton of Citra hops and bitter orange peel. The result is a beer with a powerfully seductive nose of tropical hops, a slight bitterness on the palate and a crisp, clean finish.
Our friends at The Luxury were the perfect spot to pre-release the first 40 pints to leave the brewery. Come down, hang outside, chat with the brewmaster and taste a truly unique and refreshing beer!
Here's to hops this San Antonio Beer Week!
The Brewers from Branchline and The Granary have come together to create special beer blends for San Antonio Beer Week! Come out to the Granary patio to try 5 different beer blend mixtures hand selected by the Certified Cicerone brewers. How about a Dubbel Evil? (A blend of Branchline's Evil Owl Amber and The Granary's Rye Dubbel) or dare to try the hefty "Call a Cab" (A blend of The Granary's Barleywine and Branchline's 2nd Anniversary). Mingle with the brewers and owners and watch them create a Willy Wonka like beer blend that will make you say "Oompa!"
The Hoppy Monk is excited to support and promote the San Antonio beer culture and its community during the 2015 Beer Week.
From Sunday, March 22, through Sunday, March 29 we will offer and showcase the following San Antonio craft breweries and beers on our draught wall.
