The idea for the Sweet & Sour Soirée came to Jeremy Banas during a meeting to plan the very first San Antonio Beer Week, back in 2011. SA Beer Week co-founder, Jeremy Banas believes that sour beers and sweet desserts are a natural combination. The logically contradicting concept of sweet and sour flavors was an idea that Jeremy had been building for a while, particularly because of his fondness for how traditional Belgian sour beers blossom. Pairing beers that are overly tart and acidic with sweet amplifies the sour and the sugary in each.
